Beijing to London 2002 - Qinhuangdao

I went to Qinhuangdao for three days, for an astronomy department excursion. I gave a brief talk on my work, but naturally most other talks were in Chinese, so I struggled from a scientific point of view. However, we had plenty of time to relax on the beach in the stunning 40°C heat.

On our way back to Beijing, we stopped off at Shanhaiguan, where the Great Wall of China finally meets the sea.
