Beijing to London 2002 - Train out of Poland

My train from Warsaw to Berlin was a bit disappointing after the previous trains. It was fast, comfortable, smooth and quiet, and the journey only took six hours. But I enjoyed speeding through rural Poland. As we crossed the Oder at the border with Germany it was terrifyingly fast-flowing and swollen - a hint of what was happening at the time further south, where much of central Europe was suffering from severe floods.
