On September 14th 2000, two intrepid young travellers set out on a six and a half week journey through central America, aided generously by the University of London Convocation Trust, University College London and the Friends of UCL. They visited 4 countries, took 450 anti-malaria pills, went to the tops of 5 volcanoes, saw 3 huge spiders, got bitten by millions of mosquitoes, visited 2 evil saints and generally had an exciting time. They returned to England on October 28th 2000 and attempted to resume normal life. This site contains a full account of the journey, and some (not all!) of our 1700 photographs. Read on!
