A Word of Thanks

Thanks are due to the following people: first and foremost, the University of London Convocation Trust, University College London and the Friends of UCL. Without their very generous support, this expedition could not have taken place. The expedition members are eternally grateful.

To those who helped us plan the trip: the Lonely Planet guide to Central America, the Costa Rican Tourist Board, STA Travel, Journey Latin America, Continental Airlines and many others.

Finally, to all the friendly people we met along the way; José, Sylvia, Colom, Andi, Eva, Adam, Song, Ashley, Mike, Aasta, Will, Chad, Julie from France, Julie from Germany, Tim, Brechtje, Vic, Clemente, Gustavo, Francois, Mark and countless others. Cheers, guys, you made it a memorable trip.
