The leader of the group: he took charge of the planning, the grant applications, the day-to-day movements on the trip, the post-trip reports, and this remarkable website. The trip was another step in his quest to see the entire world at least once. His victory in the Explorer's Beard contest was a little less clear cut than on his Iceland trip, but still convincing.

Moh Rahman

The expedition number two: Moh made himself notorious among Central American travellers when he picked up a horrific hand infection during the trip. Many a greeting would end with Moh screaming in pain while the other party would look in horror at what he had just shaken. Moh cheated in the Explorer's Beard contest by already having a beard when we started, but still lost.
