We complain all the time in the UK about the weather, despite the fact that it rarely drops below freezing or rises above 30C. A New Year trip to Sweden gave me some perspective on what proper cold is like. I flew into Stockholm, truly one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and also visited Gothenburg, Sweden's second city, in a short trip to mark 2002 turning into 2003.
