I get a little bit jealous of UT4 sometimes. My telescope, UT3, doesn't have a laser.
Venus was very close to the galactic centre when I took this photo. A bit of green airglow can be seen low down, and stretching upwards from the Milky Way is the zodiacal light, sunlight scattered by dust particles in the solar system.
Among the things you can see in this photo are, from near to far, the laser at UT4, the glow of lights from the Mina Escondida copper mine, greenish airglow from chemical reactions in the upper atmosphere, the Orion Nebula, the Milky Way, and the Large Magellanic Cloud
